How I did it

Workshop G - Health & Wellness
Session 2 - 11:30am - 12:30pm

Living a Healthy Life Style

"Our Bodies, Ourselves"

Proverbs 2:11 states, "Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you."

It is a well-known fact that Americans are fighting the battle of the bulge. According to the data (1999-2000) from the National Center of Health Research (NCHR), 64 percent of adults in the U.S. are either overweight or obese. Obesity has a devastating impact on a person's quality of living. Overweight people are at risk for high blood pressure and other heart disease. Overweight people are also at risk for increased risk of illness from: certain osteoarthritis, gallbladder disease, stroke, adult-onset diabetes, sleep, respiratory problems, and lipid disorders and cancers apnea.

The focal points for this workshop are health, nutrition and exercise. We invite you to come and learn ways to invest in your quality of living. "Happy is the person, who finds wisdom, and gains understanding" Proverbs 3:13.
